After learning to use a polishing kit effectively and
painting many models with lacquer I wanted to see how the same effort would
affect a hobby enamel finish, so I painted this Corvette with Testors Yellow
enamel. The finish turned out well, but not well enough to outshine lacquer.
Both the gloss and the durability of the paint was lacking. Therefore, this
remains the last model I ever painted with a hobby enamel with no plans to
return.
Aftermarket items added to this Corvette
are spark plug wires, fuel line and fitting, heater hoses, and Stevens
International red line tires.
