Jeff Gordon's 1994 DuPont Chevrolet Lumina built up from Revell's 1/24 scale kit. Added aftermarket items include a resin conversion front end with photoetch grille pieces, Jax Goodyear Eagle tires, Slixx decals, and ignition wiring.

 

The body is finished in Blue Metallic and Neon Red lacquer authentically matched by MCW Automotive Finishes along with their Dove Gray chassis paint. PPG clearcoat was carefully applied over the full set of Slixx decals to permanently seal them. This is not a completely accurate appearance for a NASCAR replica, but I wanted to experiment with this painting technique and never have to worry about the decals peeling, flaking, or fading with age. All the decals were successfully covered without damage. Patience is the key!
